The Mail Force Charity helped the Bone Cancer Research Trust raise more than £10,000 last year by recycling the stamps attached to envelopes containing donation cheques sent in to the Charity.
With the recent launch of the ‘Computers for Kids’ campaign, the recycled stamps are again being used to help raise money for life-saving research.
Volunteers from the Bone Cancer Research Trust cut the stamps from the envelopes, which are then sorted and sold in bulk by weight. The trust receives around £10 a kilogram working with an auction firm that sells to collectors and dealers in the UK and around the world.
