The Founding of Mail Force Charity to aid the NHS

In support of a campaign like no other, DMGT and its partners have already delivered £1m worth of PPE to the NHS.

DMGT, dmg media and Mail Newspapers are proud to have played a pivotal role in delivering a first consignment of quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth more than £1m to NHS workers. This consignment contains 100,000 masks and 50,000 coveralls. dmg media has provided £1m for the campaign, and DMGT has also supported with a generous donation. This is the first consignment to be delivered with the additional funding and support of partner Salesforce and other benefactors, as part of an on-going campaign to provide PPE for NHS and care workers who are on the frontline to help protect us in the fight against Coronavirus.

Mail Force is a registered charity launched in record time to raise funds to help frontline staff and care workers. This has been achieved through collaboration between DMGT and British businesses who have come together to provide the NHS with the vital support needed.

Geordie Greig, Editor of the Daily Mail, shared more: “We live in unprecedented times. While the majority of the nation continues to find ways to cope with lockdown and loss of contact, our NHS is held up by healthcare professionals who work relentlessly to provide effective care to our sick loved ones. One in four doctors are forced to re-wear vital protective clothing – this cannot go on. Mail Force is a true testament to what can be achieved in a short period of time, when the government and businesses in various industries come together and collaborate on a cause. We are proud to back this charity.”

The Mail is asking its readers to donate towards Mail Force, and we encourage you to join them at www.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/mail-force. Your donations will be put towards sourcing, buying and transporting quality PPE to the NHS. Any donations remaining after the pandemic will be used by the charity to support the NHS and care workers in the best ways it can.
